July Jubilation 2025

July is here and Independence Day celebrations are in full swing in ThimbleWorld. In here, there is no fear of errant fireworks or fires. Total enjoyment!

Light show on the bar.

Covington Mountain joins the festivities.

Flag proclaiming our right to have guns.

Moon landing.

My original diorama of the first Moon landing on July 20, 1969 along with thimbles of it.

Have a safe and enjoyable 4th!

June Summer Fun

Summer is upon us and Thimble World has many things to see and do. There are many new inclusions and be sure to keep scrolling to see Covington Mountain's new things. So, get ready to visit my thimble sites for lots of thimble fun!

The lake has many seafood eateries.

There, in the distance...Mt. Rushmore!

Cabin in the forest. Mountain lake. Mt. St. Helens in the background.

June 24 is National UFO Day. Looks like one already appeared and is dropping off Bigfoot.

How about seeing races?

Covington Mountain has adjoining sites now!

All new houses. New Castle(s). Waterwheel. Lots of new fun stuff this year!

What's that over that castle in the corner? A UFO!

The cabin at the top of the mountain has a visitor!

New diorama this year with castles, a "sea serpent," a UFO over stonehenge. Sheep and goats wander the countryside. I ws trying to capture a UK feel.

Well, I forgot about what I had planned for the mountain and bought  a lot of other thimbles, so my "plan" had to go off to the side with some modifications.

My friends went to Hawaii and brought me back so very cute, miniature tikis. Of course, I arranged them for that tropical look and feel. Hawaii, anyone?

There are no flamingos in Hawaii, but I have a couple in my Thimble menagerie.

It's still bright and colorful in here.

I bought a "Blarney Castle" souvenir which is the cardboard castle and one of the ceramic thimble towers. I had another. I decided to put together a little scene with it.

My gnomes are still out camping.

Fairy fun with Sasquatch coming through.

The fairy swings outside her house.

Hiking among the animals...and Sasquatch?

With June 24 being UFO Day, I had to get out a big display. Love my Star Trek ships!

Mandolin Summer Music.

Enjoy your June Summer Fun activities!

Honoring the Armed Forces

May is a month of honoring our military. Armed Forces Day is celebrated the third Saturday of the month, so it falls on the 17th this year. This day recognizes the men and women currently serving in the U.S. military. Memorial Day, observed the last Monday in May, is on the 26th and it is to remember and mourn those who died while serving in the U.S. military.

This is my salute to our Armed Forces using my thimbles.

I made a small military base using monopoly houses. There's a helipad to the back and the blue America is to represent water and has my ships. Other thimbles include one from Fort Lewis along with 3 that I made myself.

Covington Mountain has a gun emplacement that I made sitting over top of the very plain village.

But, I still have many things out to capture the Springtime. Afterall, April showers bring May flowers.

This moved from the Easter "basket".

The fairy ring is still in place.

Wreath of America's colors!

REMEMBER TO HONOR OUR MILITARY MEMBERS, ALIVE AND DECEASED.
YOUR FREEDOMS ARE BECAUSE OF THEM.
