Making May Memorable 2026

May blooms with celebrations and honorings--and thimbles!

Instead of starting with Thimble World, this year I'm beginning with the lovely gifts from my daughter for Mother's Day. She really outdid herself this year. Her handmade thimble are truly unique and one-of-a kind. I was so surprised and happy that I set up everything in a display.

I've honestly NEVER seen a hanging plant thimble. This is so awesome!

She not only strung the tiny beads for the plant, but the roses are REAL!! She grew them in her garden, plucked them, soaked them in silica, and sprayed them so that they are like glass. Then she "potted" them in a thimble. Incredible!!!

A quaint thimble that, at first, I thiought had cards on the bottom. And Tarot card earrings!!!

Now for Thimble World.
You May (or May not) recall my display for the fair from a couple years ago. It again comes out for the month for Memorial Day and to honor our soldiers.

Covington Mountain is turned into (sort of) military housing.

The bar countertop has a military base.

American allegiance!

The nook has red, white, and blue flowers bursting from behind.

With May the "gateway" month from Spring to Summer, most of my earlier displays are still out.

The door decor has went all-American!

Have a safe month!
