After Easter

Easter may be over, but the look of spring hangs on through April.

But, of course, I can't just leave it alone. I have to keep changing it until I feel it's "just right. " Well, at least for a while...

Easter Surprises for 2021

Easter is upon us with the bunnies, peeps, colorful eggs, and reminders of the cross that Christ was nailed on. April showers us with happy colors and blooming cherry blossoms.

My life--my world--is so very chaotic and full of change now and my ThimbleWorld is undergoing those changes as well. So, like my life, everything is askew and different. Similarities are there, just a little off the norm. Welcome to my March Madness!

March finds Covington Mountain not only in a different place, but as an entirely different mountain. Mountains CAN change shape, right? But, the pubs are up and operational!

St. Patrick's Day is full of greens and golds and secret surprises! The display is similar but far from the same.

March 20th is the first day of Spring. Since I adore my springtime display so much, I just had to get it out there SOMEWHERE, even if it WAS earlier than normal for me. I plan to keep it up for a couple months, but I'll see how it goes. I never know what tomorrow--or today, for that matter--will bring.

February Fun with Thimbles

When life goes topsy-turvy, I turn ThimbleWorld on its ear. February is the beginning of change for ThimbleWorld for a while--a long while.

So, I'm still enjoying my snowy January thimble display; it's one of my favorites. And, when it came time to change it, I just wanted to keep admiring it, so January is staying for February.

HOWEVER...

I still wanted to at least see my Valentine's display. And there's also the Covington collection (LOL). So, I decided to bring in the "mountains." I played with different displays--nothing suited. I wanted something different--something to fit my changing life. So, mountains it is--along with adjustments and changes to the mountains themselves. With that said, Valentine's Day FINALLY was set up to my liking.

And, Covington has a new look (again). I kinda like this look...

So, three setups of fun for February. I don't know what changes are in store for March. I hope we can see together.

Winter Wonderland Welcoming 2021

My blue winter wonderland welcomes every January and 2021 is no different. Although there is no snow yet (YAY!!!!), the land of thimbles has plenty.

I thought I'd add some animals to keep a Christmas-y feel going.

And, I decided to go back to "Covington" MOUNTAIN--at least for now. I added some new features just to liven things up a bit, like some animals and the train at the bottom.

Ringing Out 2020

The Christmas bells of 2020 are ringing and this year is (finally) almost over. That being said, although I didn't really want to display Thimble World this year, I went for it and threw everything at it. Lots of hidden things, lots of people and animals, and a couple of new items. 2020 may have been horrible, but Thimble World is still as grand as ever.

The city side is lined with many small features.

Christmas Land in the center is loaded with Santa themed buildings and accessories.

In the country side, there are many surprises this year. Lots of animals, people, and more!

I found this thimble from Bronner's that I decided to throw into the mix. It's the Silent Night Chapel that Bronner's has on their 27 acres.

Not everything is thimble, but they are nestled into the land anyway.

Cozy cabins and a mountain lodge adorn this side of the valley.

And this year, I wanted to add a special Christmas/Santa train station to Christmas Land. I looked for a few days on the internet for the right thing to created. It was an unsuccessful search as nothing was close to the picture in my head. However, I found a box of Whoppers that I thought might work to give me the layout I wanted.

It wasn't exactly what I wanted, but it IS cute--and fits in Christmas Land.

But, I wasn't happy. I wanted that train station. I wanted it to be Christmas-y and sort of unique. Then, I had an idea to USE something totally different to MAKE something different. It had to be the right shade of red...so, I had fun with Monopoly hotels.

And, ta-da! This is it! It's complete with light poles and people.
