August Fair Time

It's August again and it's on for 2021. My fair includes circus elements as well. Go big or go home (or to the fair, as the case may be)!

The billboard lights up to show that all is open for business!

Come on in!

There's something for everyone here. Lots of rides and walk throughs. There's also a ferris wheel, a train ride, and even balloon rides.

And there's more. You can take a paddle wheel boat ride around a castle or ride on a pontoon boat. And there's a stop at the pub for some cooling brew and eats.

Don't forget to stop and watch the rodeo. Yee-haw!

Oh, yes, so much to see under every big top!

Off in the distance is yet another fair!

Let's not forget Covington Mountain. It seems they have a merry-go-round set up in the center of the village.

No matter where you go for fun this August, be safe and have fun!

July Jumbles

I wasn't up to putting June away, besides it has some wonderful summertime pieces, so I jumbled July into June. The results were a summer festivity.

Let's get ready for those fireworks!

The beautiful colors light up everything.

July's patriotic houses fill the urban part of town. The Betsy Ross house sits at the end of a town street. The Alamo is in the corner. The fireworks stand is open for business.

The lake is filled with patriotism!

Oh, so that's where the campground moved to! Summer isn't summer without camping.

Our nation's capitol shines on Independence Day.

Covington Mountain is showing it's patriotism with flags and fireworks at the top.

Wait. What's this near the mountain? Is that a UFO?

Ah, yes! Look at that glow!

AFTER THE 4TH

Things quiet down, but the spirit remains.

The fireworks stand is closed but the patriotism still shows.

Hope you had a wonderful July 4th and may your July find you safe and happy.

For many years now, June was UFO month here in ThimbleWorld, but in keeping with all the other changes in MY world, I decided to go with the summer display that is usually out in September as AFTER summer. But, why wait? Let's enjoy summer NOW before something else takes it away.

Camping, eating out, enjoying the sun. All the fun of summer is here.

How about a trip to a plantation? Or to the mountains?

What about some water and a seaside town? Or a visit to our neighbors to the north?

Maybe find your own, secluded spot somewhere...

Lots to see and do here.

A plantation excursion.

And don't forget to look up! Maybe you'll see something fantastic!

And don't forget the little out-of-the-way place. It may give you some of your best memories.

And now let's visit Covington Mountain. I went with the different "mountain view" this month. And what's that? A UFO? Well, if course! I couldn't resist at least ONE UFO in June...

May The Forces Be With You

May is Armed Forces month in my Thimble World. There's some new designs to the original display. Notice the different water...

Instead of the castle fort of old, I created a military base (of sorts).

I had to create a new thimble to include the new branch of service... the Space Force!

A proud American eagle stands guard.

Don't forget Covington Mountain. A Maypole with children is new along with a bell tower to don the top.

After Easter

Easter may be over, but the look of spring hangs on through April.

But, of course, I can't just leave it alone. I have to keep changing it until I feel it's "just right. " Well, at least for a while...

Easter Surprises for 2021

Easter is upon us with the bunnies, peeps, colorful eggs, and reminders of the cross that Christ was nailed on. April showers us with happy colors and blooming cherry blossoms.
