After the big bang(s)...

Life slows down just a bit after the 4th...but there are still big bangs around for America Month!

Celebrating America!

Time to celebrate America, ThimbleWorld style!  Not just the 4th, but all of the achievements of America in the month of July.

Everyone is enjoying the warm summer days of July.

The fireworks stand is open for business.

Betsy Ross house, the Liberty Bell, and the Alamo all represent the greatness of America and the people who made it great.

Lady Liberty stands proud.

D.C.

Land of the Free!

The train runs with the red, white, and blue!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of America's first moon landing with Apollo 11 on July 20, 1969.

In a couple of years, we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first Lunar Vehicle on the moon, which happened July 31, 1971.

The second display also celebrates...

Flags and fireworks.

I have another diorama to celebrate America--the Old West.

Another moon landing display.

I made this moon display many years ago. I surrounded a thimble with dirt and pebbles to simulate the moon.  The lunar module sits atop while the CSM (Command & Service Module) is suspended above.  The rover is there along with an astronaut and the American Flag. In the background is planet Earth.
