Hoppin' into April 2023

Lots to see for my April ThimbleWorld! I was eager to bring the Spring colors out along with the Easter brights! Get ready to feast your eyes on a lot of prettiness!

Spring has sprung!

The town is in full bloom!

And, yes that's a different train than ususal. I wanted a train (and station) that was more to size.

Asian village in the background has so much color. New this year is the building in front of the lake on the stone trail.

Are you ready for adventures? Many things to go visit here.

Now there's a walkway into the Pagoda Park.

Spring on Covington Mountain!

Love all the wonderful colors!

The church is ready for Easter Sunday.

And over here is something new this year. The lake sports a paddlewheel boat and it's headed in to dock.

Easter delights!

Easter Mountain Village.

Little duckie swimming in his pond surrounded by other Easter animals.

Peter Cottontail is out watering the flowers.

I just couldn't pass up this little set. I need to figure out a thimble to put in it, but it's so cute.

This "quacks" me up...

Pretty pastels.

Happy Easter and may you have a warm and wonderful Spring!

And later....
So, announcement here. I've decided 2023 is the year of "make things the way you always wanted them to be." And, even though I frequently change my thimble displays throughout the month, I'm really adding and changing 'em up this time around.

For example, this is the lake I put next to Covington Mountain. I took out the "pier", added a "dock" style house and put in more colorful trees all around.

Yes, I bought a bunch of new trees. And this one made it to the bunny house.

Of course there are more trees here--along with some new things to see.

I thought this cottage looked more like a barn, but to my surprise, it is an Oast House. They were used to dry hops for beer in Europe. However, now that the drying is commercialized, the Oast houses have mostly been converted to cottages. Notice that I made a lake (with a boater) and added more trees to line the lane to the cottage.

I put in a new tree that resembles the old ones for a nice continuation and to cover the space there. Also, I put in a "bridge" from the main display to the new lake addition (see above). I swoops nicely around the lighthouse lake.

I love the new purple trees. They match the purple hedge and one makes a nice barrier in the Asian village.

I added yellow pine trees around the lotus candle and a lovely blue tree next to the Round House.

I don't know if these will make it back to this particular area again, but a new "hedge" found its way next to the displaced road to the inner display. Hmmm....

On to the next...
