June 2026 Summer Excitement

June's warm weather gets us all out and enjoying the Summer season. Thimble World also has fun things to do and places to go.

Enjoy a small town with camping nearby.

Take in a lakeside village. Maybe take a paddlewheel ride. Visit our northern neighbor Canada. Check out an observatory to see the stars. Or, maybe go to a remote campsite--with Bigfoot peeking in on you.

There's races, air shows, and mountain camping. You can even enjoy Mt. Rushmore.

The racetrack got an upgrade with a new tower and refreshments stand.

The Air Show. This was a last minute addition.

Covington Mountain offers its own destinations.

A small town surrounds a welcoming village complete with castles and remote mountaintop camping. (with another Bigfoot encounter sure to happen).

Windmill and waterwheels for you to visit.

Let's not forget jolly England and its waterway serpents, Stonehenge, and castles galore.

June 24th is the first of 2 National UFO days. This one commemorates Kenneth Arnold reported seeing 9 unusual flying objects over Mt. Rainier, WA. So, I bring out UFOs for the fun!
This is a new setup with a black light and glow in the dark UFOs and light-up UFOs to the sides.

Of course, Cthulhu is there. The UFOs are attacking a city. A plane has crashed.

Getting a spacecraft of humans off planet...maybe.

A UFO lights the forest as a scout ship takes a cow by a cabin. Bigfoot is on the way...

Another city is being assaulted by a UFO. The waterways museum appears safe...for now.

Even the nook has a UFO dropping in.

My bar countertop has dioramas of places friends visited and brought back little memorabilia and thimbles for me to display.
Here's Hawaii.

My tropical scene.

Friends' Alaska cruise. My UFO represents the numerous sightings.

UFO in the National Forest.

Military facility with a Resident Alien show UFO inside. Yes, there's a light in there and the doors work.

The country store has UFOs nearby. Look out, kids!

Have a fun and adventurous summer!
Enjoy!
